Technically, these pieces from J.Jill’s casual winter styles are actually the ‘really early’ spring arrivals. However, I know that most of you reading this are still experiencing very cold weather, and won’t be able to wear these pieces for a couple of months. But, by that time, they will be gone. So, I’ve added a denim jacket, cozy chunky cardigan, and rain jacket to layer over them. (I know. Still not helpful to those of you in the extreme northern regions of the US.)
But… for those of us in the deep south, these are great outfit options. In fact, while I was shooting these looks, I remember thinking how hot I was!
In any case, I’m loving the denim trouser trend right now. It gives a little bit of polish to these outfits. Also, don’t miss top details like the buttons, stripes, bell sleeves, and notched neck. So feminine. Finally, I’m totally in love with all the accessories that are already rolling out. Notice the white sneakers, crossbody bag, loafers, and laser cut bucket bag.
By the looks of things, it’s going to be a great spring!

Ivory Denim Jacket & Striped Top & Denim Trousers
As a former teacher, I would have loved to wear this style to work. If denim is a ‘no’ for you, a pair of chinos, or trousers would work too.
Sizing: Striped top fit is roomy. Runs true to size. White denim jacket runs true to size. Denim trousers run true to size. They are somewhat stretchy.
Marled One Button Cardigan & Denim Trousers
Next, this look is somewhat more relaxed with the graphic tee, and oversized sweater. However, if you replaced the tee with a white button up shirt, all the sudden it is more dressy. Either way I’m LOVING the texture and sailor’s collar of this sweater!
Sizing: One button cardigan fit is roomy. Runs true to size. Denim trousers run true to size.
Floral Top & Rain Jacket
Lastly, when I saw the colors in this next top, I knew I had to have it. Actually, I’m not a ‘green’ gal. But, this sage green and navy floral combo is right up my alley!
I’ve paired it with these slim straight dark wash denim and my FAVORITE loafers. Such a chic look.
Then, I added the rain jacket to this look. The jacket has a drawstring waistband, and adorable black and white striped lining. And since it rains here in Houston frequently, I keep a pair of rain boots in the car. (I don’t want to ruin my cute loafers!). And I’m set!
Sizing: Floral top runs large/flowy. Size down one size unless you like your tops very loose. Denim run true to size. Loafers run true to size.
Finally, it’s safe to say that we’re all looking forward to spring and all the possibilities for new looks. So no matter if you wear them now or later, these pieces will be styles you’ll keep reaching for in your closet!
