Makeup… No Makeup Look

Today’s post is all the details about my makeup… no makeup look! I’m bringing you all the products that I’m currently using from the Glossier beauty brand. Also, I’m letting you know exactly which products are worth purchasing, and the items that you can leave behind.

If you are looking for a makeup application tutorial, I have save that in my highlights on my Instagram profile. Simply head over to @Lululoves7_ to take a look.

Finally, I’ve also included some alternative products that have a ‘cleaner’ ingredient formula. It’s truly important to me that I use and recommend things that are as healthy as possible since we are using them on and ultimately they end up in our bodies.

Sheer Makeup Line-up

beauty products. foundation, blush, eyeliner, lipstick

Perfecting Skin Tint

glossier's Perfecting Skin Tint foundation

Perfecting Skin Tint: A sheer breathable, ultra-thin formula evens out skin’s appearance for a smooth, dewy finish. I love that you can see your natural skin through this formula. It is a ‘clean’ formula. Comes in lots of shades at an affordable price! Highly recommend.

Stretch Concealer

Glossier's Stretch Concealer

Stretch Concealer: Truthfully, this is the BOMB! I don’t typically use anything around my eyes besides this! Not cakey. It will sometimes settle in fine lines so, I will set with a powder to mitigate this problem. There are lots of shades available, too! Also, it lasts forever since its thin and covers skin easily. Highly recommend.

Wowder

Glossier's Wowder. Face powder

Wowder: Again, this is an amazing product. A finishing powder that cuts shine, blurs the appearance of pores, and sets makeup. Its milled super finely! A little goes a LONG way. Several shades to choose from. Highly recommend… I prefer this formula over the higher end powders!

Cloud Paint

glossier's Cloud Paint. Cream/liquid face blush

Cloud Paint: A seamless, buildable gel-cream blush that’s enjoyable to apply and easy to wear. ust sheer enough upon initial application to make it easy to work with and layer without going overboard—simply dab it on cheeks and tap into skin for a natural, flushed-from-within glow. This shade is Puff. It is a light and bright pink. I love the color, but it’s not ‘clean’ which is a negative for me.

A great ‘cleaner’ alternative to the cloud paint is Tarte’s, Breezy Cream Blush, in shade Pink Sky. It is a creamy, hydrating formula that is buildable. I apply it with my fingertips and it melts into my skin, and stays throughout the day. It is available in several shades. Highly recommend.

Pro Tip

glossier's Pro Tip liquid eyeliner

Pro Tip Liquid eyeliner: An easy-to-use black liquid eyeliner with a brush tip for precise definition, in a smudge-resistant formula. I have really grown to LOVE this eyeliner! The pen’s brush tip was designed with flexible fibers that hug the curve of the lash line for easy application. Stays put for up to 12 hours! Only available in black. Highly recommend.

Lash Slick

Glossier's Lash Slick mascara

Lash Slick mascara: Lash Slick’s weightless, flexible formula enhances the look of your natural lashes. The secret’s in teeny-tiny fibers that coat each individual hair from root to tip creating the look of maximum definition and length. It truly is a more ‘natural’ looking mascara. However, it tends to smudge and not stay put. It is available in black and brown. It’s not my favorite, so I can’t recommend it.

Boy Brow

Glossier's Boy Brow gel eyebrow pomade

Brow Boy grooming pomade: This product is top rated, and I’d agree! It is my FAVORITE eyebrow product EVER! Nothing else even comes close, in my opinion! A brushable, creamy wax that visibly thickens, shapes, and grooms brows into place. It’s available in 5 shades, including a gloss. It typically use the traditional brown shade. Highly recommend.

Generation G & Ultralip

Glossier's Generation G matte sheer lipstick.

Generation G sheer matte lipstick: A buildable lipstick inspired by the makeup artist trick of blotting lipstick on models for the perfect, everyday flush of color. In my experience, it’s not very hydrating. Actually, I think it’s difficult to apply because it’s really a ‘dry’ formula. On the up side, I do like the sheer color and that it’s somewhat buildable. There are lots of shades to choose from as well. Finally, it rates moderately high on the toxic ingredients scale. So unfortunately, I can’t recommend this product.

A good alternative to this product might be the Tarte, Maracuja Juicy Lip Balm. It comes in eleven beautiful shades, and is a balm, gloss and treatment all in one! This is the next lip balm on my list to buy!

FINAL THOUGHTS

Glossier has some really great beauty products, but you can’t assume that all of them are ‘clean’. Head on over to EWG.org to find out how any beauty, or skincare product rates on the ‘toxicity’ scale. It’s really a handy website, and it has lots of helpful product and ingredient information.

Also, if you are looking for more fashion inspiration for this new year, head on over to the SHOP MY LOOK tab. I have everything linked there! Or perhaps you’re looking for some new makeup ideas or a ‘clean’ beauty products. Then head on over to the BEAUTY tab .
