4 Ways to Style a T-Shirt Dress

Happy Monday, friends! Today I wanted to show you 4 ways to style a t-shirt dress I was gifted from the brand, Splendid LA. The minute I laid eyes on this dress I knew it would be the perfect ‘travel dress!’ It is easy to style, and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion!

This dress comes in a couple of colors, and also they have a similar style that is sleeveless. I’ve linked theses and some other favorites by Splendid LA at the bottom of this post! Make sure to scroll all the way down to check them out!

The T-Shirt Dress: Option 1

This dress is made of 50% cotton and 50% Rayon. It is cool, flowy, and has modest side slits. Personally, I love the crew neckline, and dolman style sleeves. The angle of the sleeves causes the arm to look longer and slimmer! Who doesn’t want that? Also, it comes with this simple tie around the waist, however it can be removed and worn without the tie, or a belt can be added.

I’ve kept my styling to a minimum here and simply added some fun accessories like these criss cross slides, fanny pack, and trendy oversized sunglasses!

This dress does run slightly oversized. I’m wearing my usual size small here, and I love the roomy fit. However, I could have sized down one if I wanted a slimmer fit.

The T-Shirt Dress: Option 2

Go all out tourist mode with this option.. I’ve kept the sunglasses, and fanny pack and added a fabulous straw hat and coordination belt. Again, so easy to layer this dress for the event or occasion at hand!

The belt adds definition to the style, and ultimately a more polished look.

The T-Shirt Dress: Option 3

Adding a blazer immediately levels up any outfit! I’ve added this white linen blazer, but a black, tan, or creamy colored blazer would also work.

I also added a neutral belt, summer wedges, and this oversized creamy tote that I’ve folded over for a chic look. This look would be great for dinner out, appointments, or a visit to the theater.

This dress, and blazer could be styled with other pieces while traveling! I love these mix and match pieces for travel, because it cuts down on the amount of clothing that needs to be packed. That’s a ‘win’ in my book!

The T-Shirt Dress: Option 4

This fourth style is my favorite. I always think a denim jacket is a good idea! Below I’ve styled the t-shirt dress with both a light washed denim jacket, and a white one. I’ve also added this fun quilted textured tote, and comfy sneakers for a day of errands, touring a new city, or simply getting coffee with friends!
