Best Things to do This July 4th Weekend

Guest post by Alex Berger

It’s 4th of July weekend and for many people, that means they will be hanging out at the lake or beach all weekend (or week) long, but for others, you might have no clue what you are doing at all. This is why I want to give you some ideas! Everyone deserves to let loose, have fun, and maybe even be a little bit productive this week. Here are some of my best things to do this July 4th weekend –

Enjoy a water-filled day

Maybe you go to the beach, the lake, a river, or the pool for the 4th of July. Either way, everyone loves a good water-filled day because it’s typically pretty hot and steamy outside. If you don’t have access to a body of water near you, try getting a blow-up pool, a sprinkler, or whatever else you can think of. Trust me – it makes the day much better and so much fun!

Spend time with family

There is nothing better than an extra day and a long weekend to spend with the people you love. Make the most of this weekend and have so much fun! If you are going out, make sure you guys are stocked with what you need for the day – food, snacks, water, etc. so that you don’t have to worry about it, since restaurants will be crowded. Have so much fun adn focus on the people that you love!

Get productive

While getting productive isn’t exactly insanely fun, it can be so handy to utilize a long weekend to get things done that you have not had time for! Yard work piles up, laundry is never-ending, and cleaning gets put on the back burner typically. This is your chance to play catch up! Work on cleaning, decluttering, and catching up with any other projects like yard work or gardening while you have the time.

For big jobs

If you have a ton of junk, make it easier on yourself by looking into Junk Queen TX for a dumpster rental Cedar Hill TX. Junk Queen TX can provide services like junk removal, dumpster rental, sod services, clearing land, demolition services, and more. They say, “we are extremely proud of our 5 star service reputation, fair-low pricing, responsiveness and deep respect for our valued customers.” The best way to be productive is by having a game plan ready to go. Create a checklist, rent a dumpster if it’s needed, and get to work!

Visit a historical landmark

You don’t need to live in Philadelphia or Washington, D.C., to visit historical landmarks and buildings. So many cities and towns across the U.S. have their own landmarks! For example, in Galveston, Texas, you’ll find the 1861 Customs and Court House building where Abraham Lincoln read the emancipation proclamation. If this interests you, do a quick search on what is close to you, and then find a historical landmark to visit!

Go to a parade

Fourth of July parades are such a fun way to show off your patriotism. Who doesn’t love marching bands, decorative floats, and huge balloons? You can do a quick internet search to find the closest parade to you this holiday! Every city will probably have one (or a few!).

Final thoughts

These ideas may seem overly simple at first glance, but they could also be as intricate as you have time time for them to be. Either way, don’t forget to slow down and enjoy the people in your life, and the freedoms we have all been given!
