Cool and Comfy Styles for 4th of July: 2024

Today, I wanted to bring you some cool and comfy styles for the 4th of July! Most of these looks can be mixed and matched with other pieces so that it’s not a “one and done” sort of situation over here!

Also, you’ll notice I’m not featuring any symbols that so quickly go out of trend or season. (stars, flags, etc.) I’m simply sticking with the red, white, and blue motif. That way, the pieces are seamlessly incorporated back into your closet.

Finally, everything here is geared toward warm to really HOT weather. I linked a couple of sweaters below, but I would NEVER pull out a sweater in Houston during July. So, for those of us in the south, it will be lightweight fabrics and breathable materials for the win!

All of the opinions expressed here are mine. Affiliate links may generate a small commission if you click and choose to buy. This won’t cost you anything, but allows me the opportunity to share content like this with you regularly! Thank you for your support!

A Classic Look

Navy 5″ chino shorts || Red button-up shirt (similar linked) || Shop accessories below

This first look is a class. The red button-up shirt and navy 5″ chino shorts are roomy and comfortable. I rarely wear red, but when I saw this top I knew it would pair well with denim, white pants, or a midi skirt. It is very casual and the perfect style for a backyard bbq or watching fireworks!

Sizing: The shorts run true to size. They are mid-rise with a 5″ inseam. The shirt is a classic button-up style. It has a roomy fit. Runs true to size.

Navy & White Eyelet

Next is this darling white eyelet button-up shirt. This exact top is out of stock, but I’ve linked a couple of similar ones here. I find that eyelet is not very forgiving, so I always size up one size for a more comfortable fit. Also, wearing “nude or skin-colored” undergarments won’t show through the white top.

Sizing: The white eyelet top runs true to size.

Gingham & Navy

Furthermore, if you have plenty of solid-colored tops, this navy gingham button-up shirt is a nice change of pace. It pairs nicely with white pants, or white jeans.

Also, these are my favorite brand of shorts. They have a 4″ inseam and a lot of stretch. These shorts are available in several colors.

Sizing: The gingham shirt has a roomy fit. Runs oversized. The shorts run slightly large as well. Size down one size.

Smocked Midi Dress

Next is this navy-smocked spaghetti strap midi dress. I am in favor of flowy dresses when the temps are soaring! They are truly the “one and done” option. I’m linking several versions of this dress below as well.

Sizing: This dress runs true to size.

Blue and White Stripes

Blue and white striped flutter sleeve top || White pants

Finally, this striped top and white pants are lightweight and breathable. I love the flutter sleeve on this v-neck top. Also, the pants have some nice stretch, and they are also made of a lightweight material.

Sizing: The top runs true to size. White pants have a roomy fit. They run true to size.
