Hello, dear friends. It has been a hot minute since I have published a blog post or newsletter! So, I am excited to share some life events and 4 Winter Tops from Loft to Refresh Your Closet with you.
First of all, on a personal note, some of you may already know that I lost my father this past fall. My sister, brother, and I were honored to walk with our daddy through some difficult months of his life. And after his homegoing, we have slowly and diligently been working through all the details of his estate. We continue to grieve and mourn his passing, but I thank you for allowing me this time to take care of these critical matters.
Also, a more joyous event took place right around Christmas time. That was the wedding of our daughter, Aubrey. After a season of great sadness, it was a blessing to celebrate our daughter and now son-in-law as we closed out 2023. I have more to share with you on this subject of the wedding, mother of the bride details, the venue and so much MORE coming soon!
So, it is January 2024, and I am back here on the blog, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, sharing fashion, clean beauty, family, faith, and healthy living ideas. I am so glad you are here, and I hope to be able to interact with you on one or more of these social media platforms!
Now, let’s get down to business. This weekend I was at Loft and found a few darling tops that will brighten up any winter wardrobe!
First, this paisley top is bold and bright! I am in love with the pinks, and blues. It would be perfect for workwear when paired with trousers and a blazer or cardigan. Or simply style it with a pair of your favorite straight leg denim like I’ve done here!
Outfit info: The paisley top is a henly style with buttons at the neckline. It is somewhat boxy, and has a roomy fit. It runs true to size. The denim are straight leg and are high waisted. They have a little bit of stretch to them, but are a more structured denim.
Secondly, this puffed sleeve bright pink top is the perfect winter pick-me-up! Layer it underneather a denim jacket or blazer for a casual, yet polished look!
Outfit info: this top runs true to size. The hem hits at hip level.
Thirdly, is this textured tunic style sweater. I love the bans around the hem of the sweater, as well as the small side vents on each side. Furthermore, there are three button/snaps at the cuff of the sleeves to add some visual interest. Ideally, pair this sweater with black trousers, or a knit pull-on pant that has a slim style to them.
Outfit info: The tunic sweater runs slightly oversized. It has a relaxed dropped shoulder, and crewneck.
Finally, I found this navy blue button-up sweater. It has wide cuffs, and a mock neckline. It’s boxy shape makes it easy to tuck the front of the sweater into waistline of your denim, or simply leave it untucked for a relaxed look. It is super soft and comfortable!
Outfit info: The sweater has a ribbed texture to it. It has a boxy shape and runs slightly oversized.
