Summer Workwear Refresh

I recently bumped into a friend who has started going back into the office after working from home the past 2 years. She asked me for some suggestions of workwear items she could buy to help update her look seeing as she has been ‘out of the office’ for an extended period of time.

Immediately these Spanx white wide leg pants came to mind. They are super easy to style and have a polished look to them that is perfect for the office environment! So, I ran home and threw together this post with some tops I recently ordered from J Crew Factory. All the the tops are on sale, and you could layer them under a blazer, which I’ve also linked in this post.

Another reason I picked these pants is that they come in several colors, and they work well with many styles of shoes. Also, I plan to keep these pants in my closet for the fall and winter, because I know that they will be fabulous with a chunky boot, and sweater!

Puffed Sleeve V-Neck Top

First of all, I have this top in this pink and orange block print, AND in the chambray linked below. It is SUPER comfortable, and just so cute. In fact, I wore the chambray top with linen pants and the white linen blazer to church on Sunday. Also, I love that it can be paired with shorts or a skirt for a darling look.

This top runs true to size, and comes in a few different patterns.

I know I’ve posted about these Spanxs pants previously on the blog, but they are simply too good to NOT take a second glance at them! (They need to be steamed in these photos. So sorry about that!😬. I was in a bit of a time crunch to get this post up for a friend!). These pants are super stretchy, but don’t lose their shape. They do run snug, so if you prefer a roomy fit, size up one. I’m wearing a medium here. They also have a control panel in the front, and belt loops. This is a ‘pull-on’ style pant. I will say they are very comfortable, and the most worn pair of pants in my closet! Highly recommend.

3/4 Sleeve Artist Blouse

This lightweight pattern blocked artist top is fabulous with all of the blues! Of course, you knew I’d find something blue to link in today’s post!🤣😂🤣. This top can be worn tucked, or untucked, and I think would be so cute with some denim shorts or skinny jeans. The a-line style is boho inspired and looks good on everyone. It runs true to size. I am wearing my regular size here. (small)

Clip Dot Flutter Sleeve Top

Pretty in pink with this clip dot flutter sleeve top. It is a knit, fully lined, and lightweight version of a t-shirt. It comes in a couple of colors, and runs true to size. It could easily be worn tucked or untucked, and it hits at the tops of my hips. (Not super long.). I love the dots that gives it some visual interest. These Miller sandals give this outfit a casual pulled together look. However, it’d be easy to add a pair of sandals, and the linen blazer for a ‘leveled up’ look.

Floral Button-Up Top and White Linen Blazer

Finally, I’ve included this floral UBER soft button up top, and white linen blazer. Is a button up top one of my favorite looks ever??? Maybe so. Probably because you can style it so many ways, and it always works. J Crew is known for their button ups and the preppy vibes they give off. I’ve linked several different patterns here in case you’re not into the floral. Of course, I’m always in the mood for floral!

Don’t miss out on this blazer. It is my absolute favorite one in my closet. It runs true to size, and has a structured traditional cut to it. I simply love the one button, and simple lines of this jacket. Since it’s linen, it does stretch out some, just doesn’t lose its shape. I believe it comes in a couple of colors, and is currently on sale.
