I can’t believe it’s Friday already! This week I’ve spent the week in Nashville with my blogger friend, Lisa, of @CoasttoCoast2 shopping for Mother of the Groom dresses, and it’s been a blast! However, before I left Houston, I made sure to get these photos of this summer’s little black dress!
I am in love with this ruffled strappy calf length dress. The material is ultra lightweight, and and it has an empire waistline, making it oh so feminine! Also, it has adjustable straps for the ‘just right’ fit, it is 100% cotton and runs true to size.
The thing I like the most about this summer’s little black dress is that it is so easy style multiple ways. You can keep it simple by adding a strappy black sandal, and then adding some gold accessories for visual interest. I am wearing a hammered gold cuff I picked up on sale this past fall. It is a great statement piece when paired with a monochromatic palette. I also added a pair of oversized beaded boho style earrings that stick with this summery look.

Also, you can use a bit of color or pattern to create some visual interest like adding this jacquard weave palm tote. In fact when I saw this tote, I knew I would have to get it! The palm tree pattern in blues and blacks add just the right amount of texture to this outfit, without overwhelming it.
Finally, another way to add some interest to this summer’s little black dress is to pair it with a fun straw bag. It is summer, so using natural materials like this woven straw bag gives this look a relaxed vibe. There are so many great summer bag options this season that would be perfect with this LBD.
