Four Ways to Wear Wide Leg Pants this Spring

Hey friends, and happy Wednesday! Today I’m wanting to give you some simple outfit ideas for these wide leg white pants from Spanx.

Details about the wide leg pants

Just a few details about the fit of the Spanx leggings.

I am wearing a size medium here. They hit right at my ankle. I am 5’6″. I generally wear a size 6 in bottoms.

These pants are a pull-on style pant. They do have belt loops, and the material is a twill heavier weight. They have large patch pockets on the back, and slit pockets with a button closure on the front, giving it a ‘sailor’ type style. The best feature about these pants is that they have some tummy control in the front, and they are not see through material. The pant fits loosely around the thighs and legs. I’d say this style runs true to size. Please note: I find that Spanx generally runs snug in most of their pants, but it’s not uncomfortable. If you are between sizes, I’d suggest sizing up.

Add a Jacket

This style pant lends itself to a shorter jacket! With the cute button closure on the front pocket, it’s fun to show that feature off by wearing something that hits right at the waistline or slightly below. That being said, I also wore these pants with an oversized blazer and it was a very polished look!

The corduroy jacket with the raw hem is perfect for this transitional season! Also, the suede taupe boot gives a little more coverage when the temps may not be ‘spring-like

Add the Pantone Color of the Year

How about a little lavender in your life? I’m not even gonna lie… Purple and lavender have never been a personal favorite of mine, but this year might just be the turning point for me!

I’m loving this smocked long sleeve top. It also comes in a really pretty sage green and white floral pattern, as well as a gorgeous mauve shade that are both worth checking out. I’m wearing a medium here, so I’d size up one size in this top. It runs a little small.

Add Chambray or Denim

Let’s just say, a chambray top goes with everything! And I’m loving this tiered ruffled top here. I sized up to a large here, but the puffed sleeves and swing style were too hard to pass up!

Also, these wide leg pants would be so cute styled with a denim button up shirt or jacket. However, I always gravitate towards the blues.

Go All White

Of course, you can’t go wrong with all white, or mixing whites, creams, taupes and so on. It’s always good to try to add some interest by adding a little texture like with this eyelet top below with the tiers and ruffles.

However, you could easily add a chunky cardigan or white denim jacket over a white top and that would do the job as well! So, there’s more than one way to tackle adding some interest to an outfit.

Finally, these pants come in three other soft colors. I am truly obsessed with them, and you will be seeing me wearing them on the regular.
