The Top 8 Hair Care Tools 2022

Happy Friday friends. This month I am doing a series of blog posts related to hair care. So today I am bringing you my top 8 hair care tools. These items are my tried and true hair tools, and I’d truly be lost without them.

My hair health is very important to me, so I’ve put the time into research each of the things I use regularly on my hair. Of course, we all have to find what works best for the type of hair we have. However, I feel that these products work well for all hair types.

Also, it’s we know that fabulous hair requires quality hair care products as well as hair care tools that actually work! So, if you are looking for some great hair care products, head over to, My Favorite Hair Care Products: Winter 2022 . Otherwise, take a look at my top 8 must have hair care tools below!

  1. The Body Shop Bamboo Hair Brush Seriously, this is my FAVORITE hair brush. I’ve had mine for literally 15 years. This brush comes in several sizes, and the tips of the ‘bristles’ don’t come off. I love that it is made of wood and is very sturdy. Cleans easily too.
  2. The Body Shop Bamboo Detangling Comb After washing my hair I spray in a smoothing or leave-in conditioner, then use my wide tooth comb to gently detangle my hair. This bamboo comb is smooth and sturdy. It won’t cause hair breakage like you find with traditional plastic combs.
  3. Olivia Garden Ceramic + Ion Thermal Hairbrush This round brush is fabulous to use while blow drying your hair. I love that the barrel is vented. It allows hot air to pass through and heat the barrel to dry the hair quickly, leaves the hair smooth and shiney, and comes in several barrel sizes to accommodate hair length.
  4. Drybar Hold Me Hair Clips I own these exact hair clips. They are very sturdy, in fact I’ve had mine over 4 years. I find that four clips is plenty to section off my hair while blow drying or styling my hair.
  5. Drybar Buttercup Blow Dryer After doing some research about hair dryers, I decided to purchase the Buttercup hair dryer. It is an amazing hair dryer in my opinion. It dries the hair quickly without drying out the hair or causing damage to the hair itself. (Make sure to read the instructions that accompany the hair dryer.) I’ve owned my hair dryer for several years now, and LOVE how my hair looks and feels after blow drying it. *NOTE* Use a heat protectant before blowing hair dry.
  6. HOT TOOLS Professional 24K Gold Curling Iron Again, after a little bit of research on curling irons, I decided to give the Hot Tools curling iron a try. I’ve tried several curling wands, but I never seem to get the same results. This curling iron has an on/off switch, and temperature control, is available in several barrel sizes, and is easy to handle.
  7. CHI Lava Ceramic Hairstyling Iron – PRO After having several inexpensive flat irons, I decided I wanted one that straightened my hair easily. This one has an on/off switch, and temperature control. I have thick hair, so with a lot of flat irons I was having to iron the same section of hair several times to achieve the smooth and shiney look I was wanting. However, with the CHI I’ve found I can iron the section on or two times and it is perfectly straight. Highly recommend this flat iron.
  8. Voloom Rootie 3/4-Inch Professional Volumizing Hair Iron I’ll admit I was sceptical about this volumizing hair iron at first, but now I can’t live without it! It truly does create volume that lasts for DAYS! Generally I only use it around the crown of my head to give added volume. I might refresh small sections in the days that follow. This product is a little pricey in my opinion, but I love mine, and now I wouldn’t give it up.

I hope you found this post valuable, and I’d love to hear any thoughts, questions or ideas for future posts! If you have a product or tool you can’t live without, I’d love to hear about that too! Please leave the in the comments below!

As always, happy shopping!

XOXO,
