It’s been awhile since I’ve shared my favorite hair care products with you, so I thought I’d take to opportunity to give you an update. Also, last week I shared all my favorite hair care styling tools, so hopefully you’ll find a few new things to try out for yourself!
USE THESE PRODUCTS ON ‘WASH’ DAYS
Madison Reed Color Protecting Shampoo and Conditioner– This color protection shampoo and conditioner quickly became my favorite after only using them for a couple of months. I love clean and healthy feeling my hair has after washing it. The conditioner doesn’t weigh my hair down, and my hair is always full and bouncy! Love.
Color Therapy Mask– This mask is two fold! It refreshes tone and existing color in 5 minutes, while conditioning your hair! You use the mask in place of the conditioner 2 or 3 times a week. The masks are available for all hair colors and types. This one’s a game changer!
Amika Perfect Body Mousse– I first picked this product up from my hair stylist. She has been using it on her clients for several years now. I love it because it doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it feel oily. I apply on a quarter size amount to my roots while my hair is wet.
Living Proof Leave in Conditioner– The first thing I noticed about this product is that it smells so good. I would use it solely for the that reason. However, this leave in conditioner is great for taming frizzy hair. I use this primarily in the spring and summer months when the humidity is the highest here in Houston, but sometimes I’ll pull it out during winter months when it’s super dry and my hair needs a little TLC.
USE THESE PRODUCTS ON ‘NO-WASH’ DAYS
Batiste Dry Shampoo– So for days that I skip the washing, I go directly for Batiste Dry Shampoo. This brand dry shampoo seems to be the only one that combats my daily oily hair issues. For some reason I just don’t get the same results with any other brand, and I’ve tried dozens of them! It comes in formulas for every hair color too!
Living Proof Full Dry Volume & Texture Spray– This a product that I pull out after the second or third day that I haven’t washed my hair. Depending on if I’m straightening or curling my hair, I’ll blast my roots mostly along the sides of my head and then let it sit and dry for a few seconds. Once it has soaked in, I will use my fingers to massage my head and roots which gives my hair a fuller look. This product in addition to the dry shampoo gives my hair more texture, and it tends to hold the style better. FYI it is also a heat protector.
Kenra Volume Spray– Again my hair stylist has been using this product for years, and so have I. I use this spray while curling my hair and then at the end when I’m ready to set my hair style for the day.
