Everyone likes Amazon, right? Well, if you are an Amazon Prime member you have access the the Amazon Try Before You Buy program. Basically, Amazon lets you order 6 pieces of clothing, accessories or shoes and ships them to you to try-on before you decide if you want to purchase them. You are allowed to keep the pieces for about 6 days before they must be returned, or you are charged for the items in the order.
I think it’s a brilliant idea, and I’ve utilized this service numerous times. Sometimes I keep several things from the order, and other times I return everything. A caveat to this is that not everything offered on Amazon is available for this service, and the exact color may not be eligible either.
The return process is the same as returning any other Amazon product. Super easy!

Today I’m sharing one of my recent Amazon Try Before You Buy orders. It contained one sweater, one blazer, Levi’s denim, and 3 pairs of loafers. I kept the suede tan loafers, and returned the remaining items, and today I’m giving you all the details about my haul!

Oversized sweater & Levi’s & Lug Sole Loafers
I’m starting off this try-on with the Mudpie brand. It is a personal favorite, and this sweater is one of their pieces. Since it is oversized and roomy, it covers the bum. Also it has dolman sleeves, and side vents that make it easy to tuck the front of the sweater into you jeans. However, it only comes in this charcoal/black color. Also, these jeans are Levi’s. I’ll confess that I haven’t worn a pair of Levi’s since high school, but these ribcage denim are amazing! They are a straight leg style, and hit a few inches above the ankle. Finally, we can’t forget the black chunky loafers. They are the Aerosoles brand, and they are super comfy! Even though it is late in the winter season, I would still purchase these loafers knowing that next fall you’ll be set! The loafer trend isn’t going anywhere soon! I highly recommend all of these pieces!
Sizing: Sweater is One size fits most. It is VERY oversized. The denim are high waisted, and run true to size. And the loafers run a little large. Size down a half size.
Popover Shirt & Chic Loafers
Next is this fabulous popover white tunic shirt. (which isn’t from Amazon) I love that it is long enough to almost cover the bum, and it looks crisp and fresh. I’ve added the denim and chic suede tan loafers that I ordered from Amazon. These are the loafers I kept from this order. They are so comfy, have a bit detail and the shape of them is so chic. Then topped it off with this crossbody bag I shopped my closet for.
Sizing: White popover top runs true to size. It has a very roomy fit, and the loafers run true to size.
White Blazer & Woven Bag & Chic Loafers
Another way to style this chic blazer is with these fabulous suede loafers, and fun woven bag that is a ‘look alike’ for the designer brand. The bag is a tote style, and comes with a smaller zipper pouch. It comes in several colors, and the only thing I didn’t like about it is that it wanted to slump over when you set it down. Finally, I feel like this neutral cream color would be great year round!
Chunky Pink Loafers
This last pair of loafers were not supposed to be pink. That being said, I love them. Actually, I thought I had ordered the creamy-bone colored loafers, but received these instead. When I pulled them out of the box, I was disappointed, but my college aged daughter squealed with delight! “You’ll be able to wear those with everything, Momma!” And she was right. Since they are a powder/light pink they can really function as a neutral. Lastly, the textured top of these loafers gives them some visual interest! These are another pair that can be worn through the spring and then again next winter. Highly recommend.
Sizing: The loafers are VERY comfy, and not heavy. However, they do run large. Size down a size.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Lastly, I highly recommend trying this fun way to shop Amazon. It’s so much easier than going into the store and trying on outfits, and you don’t pay for anything until you’re sure you want to keep it. That’s a ‘win-win’ in my book!
