Get ready for these new arrivals from Talbots! This holiday launch is sparkling and bright, and I’m OBSESSED! The sequins, beading, bright colors and beautiful florals have stolen my heart this season.
(And, I’m already beginning to think about NYE and festivities. So, I want to pick up a little something sparkly right now! I always think I’ll find something I like better later, but rarely do!)
Also, I’ve chosen three slightly dressier looks, and two casual styles for today’s try-on. I hope you love them as much as I do!

Dark Green Tartan & Velvet & Sequins
This look has arrived just in time for the holiday season! I’m loving the dark green Tartan plaid top with the velvet ribbon at the neck. Then pair it with these jeans with the sequin strip down the leg and it’s simply magical!
The top runs true to size and is long enough to wear untucked. It also has a sweet little black ribbon that is a ‘faux bow’ as a back closure. There’s really a hidden button closure instead.
The denim are a straight leg, but not slim. They have plenty of room in the thigh area, and are high-waisted.
Sequins Galore & More Sequins
Next is this FABULOUS sequin blue top that I’ve paired with the same denim as the first outfit. The top has plenty of sparkle, and is has a slight A-line to the bodice. This makes it very flowy, and adds to the shimmer of the top. I simply love how the sparkle continues the full length of the leg! A pump or heel would be the best shoe choice with this ensemble.
The top is roomy, and runs true to size. Also, the top is fully lined. I expected it to be very itchy, however it wasn’t!
Red & Pink Florals
Thirdly, I immediately fell in love with this red and pink floral flowy top! It is has an elastic gathered neckline that is very feminine, and an elastic long ruffled cuff. The floral from the top POPS beside the red of the slim pants. Typically, I would have chosen a black pant, however the red gives this look a festive, youthful vibe! (If I were really being BOLD I would have paired the top with the bright pink pants!)
The top runs roomy, and fits true to size. I am wearing a small here. The pants run true to size as well. They are a slim fit, but not skinny! I’m wearing my regular pant/denim size here.
Sequin Stars & Puffed Sleeves
Next, silver sequin stars and puffed sleeves make this sweatshirt a home-run in my book! It is super soft and fleecy inside for a warm and cozy feeling. I love it paired with these velvet pants with a tummy control panel. The only thing I noticed with these pants is that you can see the tummy panel once I buttoned and zipped them. As long as your top covers the panel it shouldn’t be a problem. However, I’ve linked a cream corduroy that could be a nice monochromatic option as well. Both pants are a straight, slim style.
The sweatshirt runs true to size. It is roomy. The pants run true to size.
Pearls & Beading & Fair Isle
Finally, this cozy, soft fair isle sweater has been ‘leveled-up’ with the pearl and beading details! I’m in love with the slightly higher neckline. The navy, grey and cream are such a wonderful winter color palette! I’ve paired the sweater with the same velvet pants, but it would be amazing with denim, corduroy, or even grey pants. There are simply so many options with this sweater.
The sweater has a roomy fit. It runs true to size. I am wearing a small here.
The pants run true to size.
Seriously, I think these pieces are amazing. If there was room in my winter closet, I would have bought all five of these outfits on the spot!
