Jax and Jenn Boutique is a small online shop that features women’s apparel, and is located in a small town in Oregon. The shop owner, Theresa, has handpicked all the pieces for midlife women wanting up-to-date styles that are both beautiful and trendy!

Ruffle High Neck Top
The first piece from the Jax and Jenn collection is this ruffle high neck top. It is a mauve-taupe shade with a modern animal print. It is soft and flowy with ruffles at the cuffs. The bodice of the blouse is lined.
I’ve paired it here with a black trouser, and my favorite suede pumps. I completed my look by selecting this neutral quilted bag with a gold chain.
The blouse runs roomy. I’m wearing a medium here. (m=6-8) It runs true to size. The black pants run true to size as well. However, I sized up to get a loose, flowy trouser feel and the added length.
Taupe Wrap Top
The second piece from the Jax and Jenn collection is this fabulous wrap top in blush/taupe. I love that this top is flowy, and wraps across the bodice to create the illusion of the hourglass shape. It has a balloon sleeve with elastic at the cuffs. It has a keyhole in the back with a small button closure.
I’ve paired this top with a pair of coated denim pants that have a little ‘shine’ to them. They are a slim straight style which is perfect with this blouse that is a show-stopper! I’ve also selected these studded pointed toe heel and small chain quilted bag to complete this look.
The blouse is roomy. I am wearing a medium here. (size 6/8) The coated denim run true to size, and are very stretchy.
Black Button Up Shirt & High Waisted Wide Leg Trouser
The third and forth pieces from the Jax and Jenn collection is this black button up shirt, and high waisted wide leg trouser.
This black shirt is going to be a work horse in my closet! I’m already planning to wear it with my favorite denim. It is very soft and has a patch pocket. The sleeve run long, but I simply rolled the cuff up a bit. It will be a essential layering piece this winter.
Next, the trousers are very high waisted and run slightly snug. They hit right above my heel, so they are best paired with a flat of some sort. These pants are a fabulous rusty color and the material is lightweight.
The button up shirt runs true to size. I’m wearing a medium here. (6/8) The trousers run slightly small, so size up if between sizes.
Cropped Wide Leg Corduroy Pants
Finally, these cropped wide leg corduroy pants are super soft! Also, I love the exposed size zipper and slit pockets on the sides. The brown/rusty color is a fall and winter must-have, and pairs well with so many with black, navy or creams.
Next, I’ve added a button up shirt in navy checks and a black fitted blazer to give this outfit a preppy vibe. The black leather messenger bag and suede black boots pull the look together beautifully.
The trousers run very snug. Size up one size! And the button up shirt and blazer run true to size.
