It’s November, and time to start pulling out those winter coats and jackets! (Unless you live in Houston where it was 85 degrees today!)
Sadly, since I live in the ‘deep south’… We only have a need for an actual ‘coat’ a few days, or perhaps a month out of the season. So, when I buy a heavy coat it needs to be on the affordable side of things. Since typically, all of my coats remain housed in the ‘coat closet’ at the front of the house for the majority of the year. (tears)
However, today I’ve found some great styles that are trendy, warm, and affordable!
Soft-Brushed Button-Front Car Coat
First up I’m bringing this classic button front car coat. You can pop the collar up for an elevated look, or turn it down for that weekend vibe.
Also, this coat is machine washable, and made of 100% polyester. It is fully lined.
Next, this coat has very roomy. I’d say it runs true to size, but if between sizes then size down.
Finally, you have your choice of three colors with this style coat. It looks great with a turtleneck sweater, button up shirt, or a fancy top! Also, I didn’t show the scarves here, but Old Navy has some fabulous options that I’m linking below!

Also, don’t miss this gorgeous blue herringbone coat. It is the exact same style as the came coat above, but I’m obsessed with the blue here!
Furthermore, there are so many styling options with this coat! From creamy sweaters, to ruffled floral tops, this coat gives off big city vibes!
Plaid Soft-Brushed Utility Shacket
Secondly, the ‘shacket’ is trending big time again this season! We’ve seen this style shirt-jacket growing in popularity. Now that it’s fully out, we’re seeing more variations of this style! Today’s shacket is long. In fact, it falls well below the bum! The best thing about this is that there are so many fun ways to style it!
Also, this plaid shacket is machine washable, and comes in nine other options.
Finally, as I mentioned before there are tons of ways to wear it! Layer it over sweaters, or ruffly tops. Also, it would be adorable with leggings or skinny jeans. Or, go full-on weekend vibes with it layered over a hoodie, joggers, and sneakers!
Water-Resistant Quilted Puffer Vest
Lastly, there is this vest that says ‘weekend adventure’ to me! It is casual, comfortable, and FUN! Layering this puffer vest over cozy sweaters, fluffy hoodies, or even a sherpa jacket simply says ‘wintertime’!
Also, the vest is machine washable, and available in 5 trendy colors. It has a loose fit through the body, and hits fight at the hip. The zipper runs the entire length of the vest. It runs true to size.
Finally, I think my favorite way to wear this vest would be with a fleecy hoodie, joggers, a beanie knit cap, and my favorite sneakers!
Finally, I was so impressed with the selection, quality and styles available at Old Navy. I wasn’t able to feature all the styles in today’s post, but I have linked many of my favorites. Also, my suggestion is to order online. It’s been my experience that the in-store selections tend to be limited in styles and sizes. Furthermore, prices seem to be bette online as well.
