The Wide Leg Pant & Puffed Sleeve Sweatshirt
First of all, this look started with these wide leg athletic pants with the slits at the hem. I fell in love with them immediately! Then I remembered I had just picked up this darking ‘batwing’ puffed sleeve sweatshirt, and I knew I had an outfit that I was going to LOVE. Somehow you just know when two pieces are meant to be together… 🤣😂🤣.
Next, I found this sporty puffed black tote, and had already ordered the New Balance sneakers in black for fall and winter. (Shoes run true to size.) The perfect additions to my elevated athleisure look for sure!
Finally, let’s talk about sizing. These flare leg pants are more fitted in the hip and thigh area, yet not snug. In fact, I’m wearing my normal size here, and thought about sizing down. However, I love the length of these pants, and even though I don’t think they will shrink up, I’m okay with them being a little roomy. So, stick with your normal pant size. Also, the sweatshirt runs roomy. I am wearing my normal size here. I’d say the sleeve and torso length are perfect!
Straight Leg Pants & Striped Tunic Shirt & Metallic Vest
This second look is just as good as the first! I actually found these straight leg pants when I was picking up the flare leg pants and couldn’t decide between the two. So, I just went ahead and bought both knowing I’d wear them year round most likely! These straight leg cargo athletic pants are FABULOUS. I love the seam that goes down the front and back of the legs. It gives them a tailored look. However, the cargo style pockets lend a more casual feel to the pant, so it’s easy to style them either way!
Next, I’ve paired the pants with this striped tunic button up shirt. Then, I layered this metallic vest over the top which lends a chic feeling to the look.
Finally, let’s talk about sizing. The straight leg cargo pants run snug in the hips and thighs, so I sized up to a medium. Also, the striped tunic runs oversized but I’m wearing my regular size in it. I have tucked it in for the photos, but left it untucked in the back, and it mostly covers the bum. It would be easy to style it with leggings, or skinny jeans. Lastly, the metallic vest runs true to size, however I sized up to a medium knowing I’d want to layer sweaters and sweatshirts under it with plenty of extra room.
My goal with today’s looks was to find some stylish options when it comes to athleisure wear. There are simply those times that I don’t feel like wearing jeans, leggings or trousers. It seems I’m constantly looking for something in between. Well, I think I’ve found a solution that is both trendy and comfortable.
