This week the Chit Chat Chic Girls partnered up with Chicos to feature the fall launch from Chicos, and to hold a ‘Live’ book club! And it was SO MUCH FUN! We all read the novel, The Wedding Veil, by Kristy Woodson Harvey. Then Thursday, we were blessed to meet with a lot of you over on IG, and discuss the book!
We were also featuring outfits from the fall launch, and were able to relate them back to the plotline of the novel! Fashion and reading at it’s best! Again, so fun!
So today I want to share with you the pieces that I ordered, and one way that I styled them. I’m obsessed with this launch due to the rich colors, and attention to details and patterns! So, I hope you love them as much as I do.
Faux Leather Cropped Pants
These faux leather cropped pants are part of the fall launch from Chicos, and they are AH-MAZING! They are buttery soft and have a seam that runs down the front of them, as well as a slight flared leg. Super comfortable, and have an elastic waistband in the back.
These pants run large, size down one size.
The blazer is a couple of year old, so I’m linking a few other options, but I mostly wanted you to see the styling of the pants with a blazer. Currently the blazer and faux leather pants are having a moment, so you can’t really go wrong with this combo.
I added a fitted tank (from target $5), and my favorite black suede pumps for a polished look. I topped off this outfit with a chunky chain necklace, bracelet and hoop earrings. (Linked similar below!)
Rich Brown Ruffled Top
This top! It’s all about the details with this top! The ruffle and ruching down the sleeves make it irresistible. And I love the v-neck ruffled collar too.
This top runs true to size and has a slight high/low hem. The back of the top nearly covers my bum. Rayon is a very lightweight, tissue thin, trendy fabric right now, and I can see why. It is very soft, and easy to layer pieces over it.
Finally, I’ve added my favorite vintage straight leg denim from Oliver Logan. The wash on these jeans is the best! The older they get, the better they look, and it adds a casual vibe to the outfit. Then I presented a pop of pattern with the leopard print loafers, and belt. The bag is retired Tory Burch, but I’m linking similar options below.
Animal Print Reversible Cardigan
This reversible animal print cardigan is such a fun piece! Not only can you wear it with the animal print, but you can turn it inside out and use the solid black side as well. Handy dandy. But for the time being, I’m satisfied with the pop of pattern!
The cardigan runs true to size, and it has 3/4 sleeves. Notice that this style is a true kimono fit, with the loose sleeves, open front, and thigh length.
I’ve paired the cardigan with a fitted (but stretchy) white button up shirt (again, my favorite), a dark wash straight leg denim, an suede pointy toe ankle boots. I love the richness of the black suede with the deep black and brown of the cardi!
Even though it is still very warm here in Houston, the fashion industry has already firmly moved into fall! So, I wanted to share these fabulous looks before they are all gone. One thing I do know about Chico’s is that they have a huge following and they sell out of a lot of pieces quickly!
