Fall shoes are coming in strong right now. Even though most parts of the country are still in full-on summer mode temperatures, the fashion industry has fully switched into ‘fall’ mode! So don’t drag your feet too long before you decide which go-to styles you want to update or refresh in your closet.
This fall I am keeping my chelsea boots, suede taupe ankle boots, and black suede pumps that I had from last year.
However, I needed to refresh my black mules, so I replaced them with these suede taupe mules from Steve Madden, and I am updating my loafers to a chunky sole ivory pair from Dolce Vita.
Also, I’ll probably add a few other pairs as the season progresses that are not as expensive, or maybe a little bit trendy, and won’t be in style next year.
Go-To Styles
- Miller Water Resistant Chelsea Boot in Black: Chelsea boots became super trendy last winter, and they don’t show any signs of slowing down. I was amazed at how versatile this style was! I loved wearing it with denim or dresses. I’m linking this similar pair to the ones I bought last year.
- Spade Booties in Dune Nubuck: These suede taupe ankle boots are a must-have in my closet. I purchased a similar pair of boots last winter and wore them every chance I got! They look fabulous with short or midi length dresses, not to mention denim in general!
- Fleur Pointed Toe Mule in Sand Suede: I picked these chain mules up this summer during the Nordstrom sale. They are going to be my ‘most valuable player’ for the season. Seeing as I live in Houston, TX the temperatures are typically very mild, making this shoe one of my favorite styles.
- Brynne Bootie in Black Suede: I’m not sure what it is about a black pointy toe bootie, but it seems to have such a polished look to it. It is a favorite with most denim, and dresses!
- Mila Pump in Black Suede: A black or nude pump is a ‘must-have’ in any closet. One of each is preferable. It always is the ‘right’ shoe for work, or any formal occasion. However, it is also versatile enough to be worn on date night. The suede texture gives the shoe a little bit more ‘rich’ looking vibes. Always keep this style pump pointy toed for a formal look.
- Elias Flats in Ivory Embossed Leather: Loafers are a basic in a lot of workwear closets. Currently this style is having a moment. It doesn’t matter if you want a chunky sole loafer, or a more traditional style, this season they all work! These ivory embossed chunky loafers are going to be some of my favorites I’ll bet!
Final Thoughts
I’m totally crushing on all of these styles I’ve featured today, and I know that you’ll begin to notice them as well, if you haven’t already! It’s always fun to pick up one or two new/trendy seasonal items that won’t ‘break the bank’ and will give some fresh life to staple pieces in your closet!
