Early Fall Outfits: Spanx Pants

Even though it’s still full on summer temperatures in most places, all the stores and clothing brands are in ‘fall fashion’ mode. So today I’m featuring two early fall outfits with Spanx pants.

I love to have pieces in my closet that are versatile, and good quality so that I can wear them several seasons. These truly are the basics that I reach for repeatedly in my wardrobe.

Spanx has quickly become one of my favorite brands, and I tend to wear their pants regularly because they look good every time I put them on, and are comfortable. They have tons of styles and extended sizing.

With my pants covered, I am free to find a top, sweater, or layer the two according to the day’s activities. It really makes getting dressed and out the door in the morning so easy.

Black and White Combo

This outfit is such a classic look featuring Spanx wide leg pants, and this preppy lightweight sweater with collar and exposed shirt-tails.

These white wide leg pants are high waisted, and have a tummy control panel. They are stretchy, but do run snug, so size up at least one size. These pants will be a staple piece in your closet year round!

This sweater is perfect for work, lunching, or church. It is very soft and runs true to size. I am wearing a medium here for a roomy fit.

For accessories I’ve chosen my taupe suede chain mules (mules also come in black) and oversized bag (several years old). However, a black shoe or bootie would have been a good choice as well. I added pearl hoops to give a little light to my face.

Camel and Black Combo

Another classic color combination is the camel and black outfit. It too is perfect for work, lunch with friends, or church.

The pants are from Spanx. These are the Slim Perfect Black Pant. They are super comfortable, and do run snug, so size up at least one size. These pants are my ‘go-to’ black pants because they always look good on, and are easy to layer tunics, or long pieces over them without looking bulky.

The white shirt here is another piece I wear pretty much year round. It is the perfect lightweight cotton fabric. In the summer I wear it over tanks or short sleeve shirts, and in the winter I layer sweaters, blazers, and jackets over it. This exact white shirt is pricey, but worth every penny. However, I have linked some other affordable options below too!

This long cable knit cardigan is so fun with the texture. I chose this pattern in the outside layer because all the pieces I have on are solid colors, so I need to create some interest with the texture of the cardigan. Also, I love this camel or caramel color. I don’t believe it will ever go out of style!

For accessories I’ve added these black chain mules, black leather messenger bag, and gold hoops.
