Jax and Jenn Online Boutique: Shop Small

Jax and Jenn Boutique is a small online shop that features women’s apparel, and is located in a small town in Oregon. The shop owner, Theresa, has handpicked all the pieces for midlife women wanting up-to-date styles that are both beautiful and trendy!

This boutique strives to stock flattering fashion for all sizes, and the pieces are limited. This means that the pieces are purchased in limited quantities and are unique to you, and purchased for you! Love!

As a small business owner myself, I know the importance of ‘shopping small’! Which isn’t always easy in this ‘mega-store’ culture. I’ve been so impressed with the good quality of the products, and great customer service I’ve received from the Jax and Jenn Boutique!

Finally, Theresa has generously given us a discount code for 15% off of entire purchase! The code is LULU15. (Good for one purchase.)

I wanted to share some of the fabulous pieces now available online for late summer and early fall with you. I think you are going to love them.

San Sebastian Dress

This little floral cutie will be a showstopper during this transition season from late summer to early fall. I have it paired here with some summer wedges, cognac belt, an oversized bag and sunnies. It has all those boho vibes with the yoke neck with a slight v-neck tie. The puffed 3/4 sleeves have elastic at the cuff so they could be pushed up or pulled down.

I’m wearing a medium here. It does run over sized and flowy though! The medium was the perfect size for me since I was needing the extra length in order to belt it. Otherwise, I’d say stick to your normal dress size!

There are so many ways to style this dress. You can wear it unbelted and flowy with sandals or mules. Or you could belt it and wear a blazer or long cardigan! A short brown or cognac ankle bootie would also be darling with this boho vibe.

I shopped my closet for the belt, bag and shoes.

Savannah Linen Shorts

These linen shorts have stolen the show! They are a long pleated bermuda and super high waisted. I love the linen fabric since it is soft and hangs nicely. It’s paired here with a lightweight henley button up with dolman sleeves, and a neutral chain mule I got from the Nordstrom sale.

These shorts run a little snug. I’d say size up one size. I’m wearing a medium here and I’m regularly a size 6. The belt is extra long so I’ve wrapped it a couple of time and tucked it in my waistband. It is also removable, so you could use something you already have in your closet to uplevel the look.

This is such a classic and polished end of summer option. I love it paired with a linen blazer, or a long neutral cardigan as well. Top it off with a creamy felt hat for a complete look!

Santa Fe Paperbag Trousers

These flowy paperbag trousers are simply the best! They are a pull-on style trouser that hit right at my ankle. The wide leg and bowtie add to the this pulled together look. AND they do have side pockets! I’ve paired it here with the same button up dolman sleeve henley as above. Also, these braided chunky slides are a great neutral option making the leg look longer and slim. The perfect workday or church look.

These pants run roomy. I’m wearing a size medium here, but I think the small’s would have been a little to short and I like the roominess of the medium.

I love the polished look of this outfit, however these pants would be so cute with a fitted white tank, sneakers and sunnies for a warm day running errands! Cute and comfy!

Malibu Ruffled Dress

Give me all the ruffles! I’m absolutely in love with this darling LBD. It is a lightweight soft material that hangs nicely. The crew neckline and puffed sleeves give it such a feminine vibe. The tiers add to the comfort, and it has an elastic insert at the back giving the waistline some definition! I love that! I’ve gone with a summery look here by adding a simple black banded straw hat, and my oversized roundie straw bag. You pictured here are my Tory Burch Miller black slides. They are a little bit of an investment, but worth every penny in my book. Great quality and I wear them all the time.

This dress runs oversized and roomy! I am wearing a medium here, but could have easily worn a small. However, the sleeve length is perfect in the medium! ( I have long arms! The things we have to consider, right?) I guess I’m saying, it runs true to size.

This LBD will be perfect for fall too. I have styled it with a denim jacket, neutral ankle booties, creamy felt hat, and oversized bag. So many easy options that with this little number!

Gig Harbor Gingham Top

Again with the ruffles and puffed sleeves! I just can’t get enough, and did I mention my love for gingham? Lately I’ve been crushing on this sage green shade for the season. It’s simply so warm and unexpected! This top has a darling little peplum ruffle, and keyhole back with a cute little tie bow. Nothing too big though. I love it styled simply with these cropped bootcut jeans and neutral chain slides.

This top runs true to size. I’m wearing a medium here. The sleeves are puffed and have an elastic band with a ruffle.

The gingham top could be styled with denim shorts, or even a slim skirt or trousers.

Northwest Artisan Jumpsuit

This darling jumpsuit has been trendy bigtime on Instagram and Tik Tok lately! I think everyone loves the flowy casual nature of it! It has adjustable straps, and is easy on, easy off with the wide openings. I’ve paired it here with this halter tank for a really casual look. However, I’ve also worn it with a cute crew neck puffed sleeve top! It’s very versatile, yet stays firmly in that ‘casual’ category.

This jumpsuit runs oversized. I’m wearing a small here. It is plenty roomy, so no need to size up.

Additional styling suggestions would be adding a striped tank or top with sneakers, or a black v-neck tee with sandals and an oversized bag.

A huge thank you to Theresa at Jax and Jenn Boutique for all of these amazing styles, and extending a discount code to all of us! I just can’t wait to see more upcoming fashion for fall!
