Summer Blue Dresses from J.Jill

Happy Memorial Day, friends! Today I thought these summer blue dresses from J.Jill would be the perfect way to start off the season. If anyone knows how to style the color blue J.Jill does! I always love the fabulous pieces they launch for summertime.

Today’s looks feature a beautiful powder blue linen shift dress, a gauzy navy blue shirtdress, and a satin tiered maxi skirt. All of them are classic pieces with a bit of a twist! But, all of them are ultra soft, cool and comfy for what looks like it’s going to be a sweltering summer here in southern Texas!

Linen Embroidered and Beaded Dress

This linen shift dress is truly a classic style. However, then they added the ornate white tiny beading at the neckline that makes it exquisite! Linen is a personal favorite material of mine for the season. I LOVE the natural folds (wrinkles), and the relaxed look of this fabric.

This sheath dress is slightly a-lined. It is very generous in the sizing, and don’t forget that linen does tend to give some as it is worn. I am wearing my normal dress size here. This is a small. I am 5’6″ and wear a size 6 in most clothing. The length is me just above the knee. Also, with the roominess of the dress, it is not see through.

**NOTE** This dress has extended sizing. It is offered in petite, tall and plus sizing.

Here I have simply added a pair of chain sandals, however it would be easy to dress it up with a summer wedge, or dressier heel and clutch.

Ultra-Soft Button Hem Shirtdress

I think I seem to gravitate towards shirt dresses! I love the collar, and dressy look of this style. Then when J.Jill recreated this look in this gauzy fabric, I simply couldn’t resist! This dress is an a-line cut, making it very flowy in the bodice, and it has 3 sweet buttons on both the side hem.

I’ve added these simple neutral summer wedges and a straw oversized bag to this outfit. However, I almost went for a more casual look by adding my natural Tory Burch, Miller, sandals with it.

This dress does run slightly oversize. I sized down to an extra small here. However, if you want that uber roomy fit, stick to your regular size! This dress comes in two colors.

Tiered Maxi Skirt

You just can’t go wrong with a navy skirt! This tiered satin skirt is very versatile. The tiers hit just at the right places for a long lean look. It has an elastic waistline, with a drawstring giving it a casual vibe. I’m thinking it will be a ‘go-to’ piece for me this summer because it is really lightweight, but also gives a little coverage if the a/c is blowing full speed!

For today’s outfit I stuck with the traditional white tank bodysuit from Spanx, and a light washed denim jacket. I added a fun rattan platform heel (super trendy this season) and woven faux leather tote.

**NOTE** This dress has extended sizing. It is offered in petite, tall and plus sizing.

This skirt runs slightly oversized too. I am wearing an extra small in the skirt, a medium in the tank bodysuit and a medium in the denim jacket. The shoes run true to size. This skirt comes in two colors.
