Hello friends! Today I wanted to share a few outfit ideas for the fourth of July. I’ve tried to give you plenty of options. My round-up includes some casual shorts, denim, and some flowy dresses. Because the weather here in Houston is typically super hot, I always tend to go with looks that I know will be cool and comfy even in the heat and humidity.

So, if you are attending a backyard bbq, headed to a local outdoor concert, attending a fun fireworks display in your community, or having dinner out with friends and family, I hope you will be able to find something you find your #OOTD.
Outfit idea #1: Simple and Striped
I’ve gone easy peasy with this first outfit idea for the fourth of July! Let’s keep it simple with a striped tank top, denim cutoffs, and footbed sandals. In my lineup below, I’ve added a red uber soft sweatshirt and simple straw bag to complete the look. (The sweatshirt is really soft. Highly recommend!)
Outfit idea #2: Sweet and Cool
The second outfit idea for the fourth of July is just so sweet… and cool. I love a flowy dress and this one is just so perfect. The tiers and the stripes in navy are so patriotic. I’ve added these nude quilted slides and fun straw accessories. Then I topped the look off with these oversized sunnies for a chic touch.
Outfit idea #3: Outdoor Fun
The third outfit idea for the fourth of July great for the ultimate backyard bbq. The top is lighweight and flowy, and the denim is flirty with the cropped flare leg. These Steve Madden sandals have to make an appearance! I’ve been wearing mine all the time. They give a little bit of sparkle to this solid palette. Don’t forget the straw bag and sunnies for any outdoor activities!
Outfit idea #4: Monochromatic Palette
No matter if you’re planning to spend the day indoors or outdoors this fourth outfit idea for the fourth of July is sweet and sassy. Forget the red, white and blue color scheme for the day! Go with a monochromatic look! It’s totally NOT boring once you add in the studded criss-cross slides, oversized beaded ball hoops, and pom tasseled straw bag. Cool and chic is all everyone will be thinking when they get a glimpse of this outfit of the day!
Outfit idea #4: Red, White and Blue
Let’s go ALL out patriotic colors with this fifth outfit idea for the fourth of July! Red, white and blue is the traditional palette for the day, and this look doesn’t disappoint! The tiered, knit maxi, cutest criss-cross slides, navy earrings, and darling red headband are definitely on point, without overdoing it! Just a pop of red will do it!
Outfit idea # 6: Dinner Out With Friends
Are you meeting friends or family for a lunch or meal out? (Something we couldn’t do last year!) This sixth outfit idea for the fourth of July is cute and comfy. I’m totally in love with this red striped peplum top, straight leg cropped denim and summer bag. Also, you HAVE-TO take a look at these footbed slides. They have a cult following and have nothing but great reviews! Add the statement seeded earrings for a fun element to your outfit of the day.
Outfit idea #7: Hanging With the Fam
Finally, this seventh outfit idea for the fourth of july is casual, but pulled together. It has a chic look without trying too hard. I love the darling red, white and blue peplum top, distressed white denim shorts, and black accessories that tie the entire look together. You can wear it to watch fireworks in the cul-de-sac, for an ice cream run, or simply hosting friends and family for the evening.
My goal was to find pieces that are easily incorporated into our daily closets. It doesn’t matter if it’s red, white and blue, or totally headed in a different direction with a monochromatic palette, all of these looks can be worn through the end of the summer.
