Hello friends! Today I’m bringing you the 7 best drugstore makeup for mature skin. I have done my research with a deep dive into top rated products at affordable prices. However, I didn’t stop there. Over the past several months I have purchased and personally tested these products to see if they really were as good as the experts say. Because, it doesn’t matter what the beauty gurus say, unless it actually performs on real mature women’s skin!
In the past I will admit I haven’t been a big drugstore makeup fan. I’ve had a few tried and true items I’ve picked up along the way, but the majority of products have been mostly name brand. That is changing. As I’ve been researching these drugstore brands and products, it has become exceedingly clear that they are big time beauty players with millions of dollars they are funneling into development, quality, and marketing of their goods. To say that their products are not up to the level of name brand beauty is NOT accurate. So, with a fresh perspective, it’s time to give credit to these beauty finds where credit is due!

Here are the 7 best drugstore makeup products for mature skin as touted by the experts, and little ole me.
Overall best foundation and concealer.
The best drugstore foundation for mature skin is L’Oreal’s Infallible Pro-Glow which has been in this top spot for several years now. It comes in multiple formulas that fits every skin type. I like that it is thin and creamy. It gives medium coverage, but can easily be built up to fuller look. That being said, I’ve noticed with my dry skin, I have to cut it with some moisturizer in order to keep it from looking cakey.
Next, is Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Eraser. It too has been a top rated concealer, and my favorite for several years. The way it goes on in a thin layer, and doesn’t sink into the fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes is perfection! Also, L’Oreal’s Infallible FULL wear More Than COncealer is a great option. It is good if you are looking for a heavier option in a concealer. I would compare it to Tarte’s Shape Tape in texture. Perhaps a slightly thinner formula.
FInally, another top rated product shown is Neutrogena’s Mineral Sheers loose powder foundation. It has quickly become one my favorite drugstore powder. You can wear it with or without foundation, which is nice when you are trying to cut the shine, but don’t want to do a full makeup look.
Best contouring, blush, and highlighting palette.
The best drugstore contouring palette for mature skin is Maybelline’s Master Contour palette. We all know that addIng color to your face can be tricky, and typically I’d say stick with a cream formula, but I’ve been using this Master Contour palette from Maybelline for several years, and I LOVE it. You can use the darkest shade as a bronzer, or simply as a way to contour your face. The blush is a classic pink. Gorgeous on just about anyone’s skin tone. Lastly, the highlighter is just enough pop of light that you can tell you’re wearing it, but not a full-on glow you’d get with a heavier one.
Also, I wanted to include these Hello Halo Blushlighter from WET N’ WILD. They are so fun, and provide a lot of shine. The summer is the perfect time to add some warm glow to your complexion.
Best mascara adding volume and length.
The best drugstore makeup for mature skin for mascara is Falsie’s Lash Lift. Admittedly, I am a mascara snob. However, times are changing. The drugstore brands are bringing in the big guns when it comes to amazing volume, length, non-smudge, long-lasting formulas! Frankly, I impressed. Maybelline’s Falsie’s The Lash Lift is now my go-to mascara. It goes on smoothly, and adds length and volume with ease. I do have to apply multiple layers to get the effect I desire, but that is common. Also,a disclaimer here, I am still using Lancome’s CILS lash primer to achieve the luxurious look I’m desiring. So, I’m on the hunt for a good drugstore eyelash primer. Next, I’ve included this clean formula mascara from Covergirl! Y’all know I am all about clean beauty products! This Lash Blast Clean is a great option at an affordable price. I’ve been using it lately as my everyday mascara. It goes on smoothly, but requires multiple applications to get average length and volume. It gets 3.5 stars from me.
Also, last summer I was introduced to WET n wild breakup proof liquid and retractable eyeliners. they go on smoothly, and stay put. they are very inexpensive and are easy to apply.
Finally, this clean eye shadow palette by Pacifica in pink nudes can be worn year round. I’m very impressed by the highly pigmented colors. The earthy tones are super trendy right now, and are attractive on all skin tones. Highly recommend.

This is such a great rundown of products. I used the Maybelline Eraser for years, and now I feel like I should give it a go again. I love the way it applies too, so that’s a bonus. XOXO
Hey Lisa! I’ve been pleasantly surprised how much I like these products! The Eraser is a favorite!
I need to try that Maybelline eraser, My sis said it was great too! I went to purchase it and it was sold out, so I’ll order it here!
Thanks D’Arcy! It not to thick and cakey! Doesn’t sink into fine lines or wrinkle. 🙂
