Hey friends! I wanted to take some time to introduce you to my favorite skincare brand, Primally Pure, and the ONLY natural deodorant that I’ve used that actually works AND is “clean”! I was looking for a brand that wasn’t laden with chemicals like most conventional deodorants are, and wouldn’t contribute to toxic buildup in my body. Unfortunately, this would prove to be a difficult task.
In the beginning
Let me just say upfront, I have been looking to clean up my skincare and deodorant for a few years. I decided the best place to start this journey was by focusing on changing my deodorant. First I decided to try some of the name brand deodorants that I could pick up at a local store. Amongst the contenders were Tom’s, Native, Secret, and many others. Unfortunately, they had ingredients that I was trying to avoid, or I smelled like a “hot pina colada” by the end of the day… Let’s just say, it wasn’t good. Somewhere amidst the process of trying numerous brands and long days, my husband declared that the current one “obviously wasn’t working!” With great frustration, I moved on to the next.
Primally Pure to the rescue
Not too long after that, I was introduced to a skincare line that had totally clean ingredients and they also made clean deodorant. I heard about Primally Pure from one of the bloggers on Instagram whose doctor suggested she clean up the products she was using on her body due to infertility issues. What it does and doesn’t have
Thankfully it works and smells good! It has no fake or chemical-filled fragrances (It only uses essential oils for fragrance) or aluminum. Furthermore, it didn’t irritate my sensitive skin. I had a winner friend!
Essentially, this product uses safe, effective ingredients that are gentle and non-toxic. Basically it has a small amount of baking soda (to combat odor), Kaolin clay (a detoxifier), non-nano zinc oxide (soothes irritation), and your choice of essential oils. It does have a few more natural ingredients depending on the fragrance you pick. But they all include clean ingredients only, no animal testing, no artificial anything and they are made in California. Sizes and Smells
I find the only drawback is that you have to order it online. At first, I simply ordered the smallest size of 1.7oz. However, after the first one was empty, I began buying the largest size st 2.5oz. It lasts a long time due to the fact that you don’t have to use a lot of it. It seems to be a little softer in texture than regular deodorants. The smell is amazing, and it comes in many fragrances and unscented. (geranium, lavender, lemongrass, tea tree, blue tansy, unscented, and charcoal) Charcoal is my favorite!

I also use this Fancy Face Serum several times a week for added hydration for my skin.
After showers or baths, I will apply this Body Oil for added moisture all over my body. It is a “dry” oil and doesn’t leave you with an excessively oily feel like some oils do.
Before applying makeup in the morning or during the day I will use this Complexion Mist to add hydration to my face. It allows my makeup to go on smoothly.
