When I ordered this particular field jacket from J Crew Mercantile, I didn’t realize how heavy duty the material would be. It would be excellent for rainy days, and when layered with a sweater or sweatshirt would be more than adequate for brisker days during the fall/winter seasons here in the south! However, I’ve found that you can find this jacket in several different types of material to suit your needs. What I like the most about it is how versatile it is! You can wear it with leggings, a t-shirt and sneaks for coffee on Saturday morning, or with a dark wash denim, booties and sweater for dinner out with friends. So many options with this jacket!
